have always loved the elite-prices always seem to move just a
bit out of my range though-- I seem to remember a few years ago (10?) reading
that someone in the UK was building them new as kits. does anyone else have
further details on these cars? did it use a climax engine as well or something
more recent like a miata? cheers

Found the site by accident ! Very pleased to see that possibly
THE most beautiful car in the world lives on. I was a Lotus employee from
1955-'60 when I left to join another race team . We had the 2ltr. car at
Le Mans in 1960 which was withdrawn leaving the late Brit Pearse and myself
with nothing to do having also lost two drivers (injured ) also. So we teamed
up with the late Willy Griffiths and crewed the Laurent/Masson car which
ran like a trai winning its class. One further memory was co-driving the
Graham Warner (chequered Flag) Elite back from Avus in 1959 (non finisher)
.Exciting across the Belgian Pave in the rain with racing Dunlops ! Please
keep up the good work.

Hi, my uncle has a 1959 Elite that has been sitting in a garage
since 1972, the paint was all stripped in 1973 and it has sat like that since
then. Needs a total refurb/restoration which I am unable to do so we are thinking
of selling the car. If anyone knows it's likely value or how I would go about
selling this car for a fair price, please get in touch. Many thinks.

Great site, really nice to look at !! Need help: just assembling
the front suspension of my S2-Elite and got the trunnions mixed. Does the
left hand-threaded-trunnion belong to the left side or right side ? Great
if anyone out there knows and could advice. Thanks in advance !

Nice site. I was an Elite owner many years ago and it has always
remained one of my very favorite cars.

Oliver means "Elite", of course. Probably got confused because
I keep meaning to bring my Elise up to his renowned driver training course
at the Nuernburgring. Check it out at the link below. Stuart

Hello Stuart, very nice site on the Lotus Elise. What about a
change of links/banners between us. As you know I offer a sportscar drivers
training at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife. This might interest
may Lotus drivers I guess. Racing regards Oliver

Welcome! As you can see, I'm just getting started here. There's
plenty of space, so please send me your suggestions. Check out the "gallery"
page. It's no substitute for the Elite Registry, but I'd like to have photos
of all your cars; so please "mach mit," as they say over here. Stuart
